Il Frantoio features a magnificent outer loggia, overlooking the lush garden. The interior spaces have been artfully restored to retain the charm of the past while offering modern comforts. Every detail is crafted to ensure a peaceful stay, where conviviality and comfort take center stage. The inner courtyard, which the dining room overlooks, provides a sense of privacy.
SHARED SPACES
In the exquisite entrance hall, the floor, made of boards sourced from ancient wooden beams, preserves natural imperfections, enhancing its charm. The whitewashed walls with pietra serena finishes contrast beautifully with the stone wall featuring an ornamental fireplace in pietra forte. The lintel of the door leading from the hall to the dining room bears the coats of arms of the Bigordi family, whose nickname was “Ghirlandaio”. One coat of arms displays a galloping knight holding the bigordo, an ancient jousting pole, while the other shows three garlands, or ghirlande. The dining room of this villa is equally elegant, with large windows offering a view of the inner courtyard.
