Villa

A Luxury Villa in Tuscany: Renaissance Elegance.

Nestled in a dreamlike landscape, amidst the verdant green of the surrounding nature with an extraordinary view of Florence, Villa stands out for its imposing beauty. The Renaissance style facade, the magnificent giardino all’italiana, and the crystal-clear pool complete the alluring setting and make for an unforgettable Tuscan stay. An experience much like that enjoyed in the Renaissance by Florentine nobility who sought precious moments of relaxation in a private hamlet on the Tuscan hills.

A luxurious accommodation in the heart of Tuscany.

The private estate of Dimora Ghirlandaio includes five accommodations available for buyout booking only to guarantee guests comfort and privacy. Main building of Dimora Ghirlandaio, Villa is the perfect destination to experience Tuscany amidst art, history, and exclusive wellbeing. This is an accommodation especially designed for those who enjoy the pleasure of privacy in a magnificent natural scenery. The Medici’s Florence is only a few minutes away by car, and Villa itself offers a breathtaking view of the city. Pisa, Lucca, Siena, and Arezzo are other must-sees only a little over an hour’s drive away.

Villa in Detail

Placed at the center of the Dimora’s estate, Villa retains its historically refined elegance thanks to a careful refurbishing that preserved its original appearance. The broad façade, with its windows framed in pietra serena stone and the double staircase leading down to the garden, is typical of the architecture of Renaissance villas, charming, comfortable country abodes designed to welcome artists and noblemen who came here to spend their holidays.

Ground Floor

On the ground floor of Villa you will be greeted by a vast hall with a fireplace where you will be able to relax in the comfort of its soft sofas. The warm hues of the wood floor harmonize with the pastel walls, lit by the natural light from the windows that open onto the outer balcony. Further up, a magnificent coffered ceiling in the style of the period. The hall opens onto a large dining room, a fully-equipped kitchen and one King Size bedroom. The two-colored kitchen floor alternates Bardiglio and Carrara marble. The walls are decorated with geometrical trompe-l’oeils that endow all the rooms with a timeless grace.

Top Floor

On the top floor you will find three double bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom trimmed in precious marble of different colors. The whitewashed walls make for a bright and warm atmosphere, highlighted by the durmast wood floors. A feature of every room, a magnificent view of the beautiful gardens surrounding the Dimora and the landscape of hills, woods, and silver-hued olive groves.

Dovecote

On Villa’s third level, just above the southern pitch of the roof, stands the ancient dovecote, now the villa’s most exclusive room. From here your will enjoy an overall view of the surrounding landscape and your gaze will be filled by its magnificent variety. From the gentle hills to the mountaintops that in the winter become clad in snow. But above all, the breathtaking view of the city of Florence, from the Certosa Monastery to the extraordinary Cupola designed by Filippo Brunelleschi for the Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral.

The Garden and the Lemon House

Outside Villa, the mottled reflections of the ornamental pool offset the greenery of the Italian-style garden, with its distinctive order and harmony. An oasis of leisure and entertainment, protected by the walls surrounding Villa. Flanking the garden, the antique Lemon House has been refurbished to create an annex with an extra room. The round arches trace the shape of the original apertures, lighting the interiors with the bright country light filtered through glass.
